The Day Of The Locust so I've never thought of this movie beign a horror film I've always thought of it as has a good drama movie with Karen Black playing a whore who fucks everybody, but until last night after a rewatch I realized that it has all the aspects to be a horror movie.
You have Harry who is played by Burgess Meredith who plays this tripped out old man who goes door to door showing off his magic tricks.
Then you have Tod played by William Atherton a guy going around drawing all the horror in today's world and having tripped out visions and dreams.
Then there's Faye played by Karen Black what can you say about her other then she's a WHORE.
The always creepy Billy Barty who's always scared the hell out of me in almost every film he has done I think it's just because he's a midget that scares me the most.

Then the most fucked up guy in the whole film Homer Simpson played by the great Donald Sutherland who basically lets everybody run over him tell he snaps at the end of the movie and causes a major riot when he kills the what the fuck is it kid. I still don't know if the kid is a boy or a girl so I'll just call it a IT.

Anyways without spoiling the film for people who haven't seen it but I'am pretty sure everybody on this great site has seen it.
You have everything in this film to make it a horror film, animal cruelty not that I would say chicken fighting is animal cruelty but some people think it is.

You have William Atherton having all these fucked up visions of these crazy people he is seeing during the riot not to mention with one of the best fucking broken leg scenes I've seen for a movie made in the mid 70's.

Then the best scene of the film to me was when Donald Sutherland snapped and killed this fucking IT kid.


So I'am I wrong by saying this film should be classified as a horror film or just left the way it is as a Drama/Thriller movie.
