I wouldn't call this "something special" but I can report that I enjoyed it. I thought Larry Fishburne was the best actor in this one. I think Sam Neill is overrated at the best of times.

Sam Neil was the best for me. He's not an actor I'm familiar with overall, but he's always been good when I've seen him. Even in boring crap like Jurassic Park

It's a frustrating movie. I gave it a try on 2 separate occasions. The script is shitty and it is a shame because it has a great build up. By the time Sam Nell (who is always awesome) is completely taken over, nothing has or is done except for establishing a man transformed and his love for a creepy ship. It was like someone put together this big toy model set and said watch what this can do and this one light started blinking and they said "awesome right"

I really like it,but lost my copy somehow.

Not great, but it's good enough, especially considering it's from Paul W.S. Anderson.
