Zed's choice of NOFX is something I might have picked when I was 15. It's really hard to listen them now though. And Grace Jones? More like Disgrace to this list Jones. But I really can't fault anything else, and I like the fact that he picked himself.

Most of DerTables' list looks like stuff my dad would have picked. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but really not a great thing. And then it has Sublime, Daft Punk, and System of a Down, which don't do it any favors.

Johan's best pick by far is The Sex Pistols, and I happen to think they're pretty overrated.

So my vote goes to Zed.

The irony is I'm 25. Also Sublime and System are 2 of my favorite picks.

Well, all three lists have a handful of like, or can at least appreciate a few songs on some level, but a number of others I also don't care about.

The good on Zed's: Sonic Youth, Zeppelin, Lou Reed, The Who, Grace Jones, Hendrix, Pixies and Danzig. I like a few Bob Dylan songs, but in limited doses as his voice after a while....emoticon

The good on Der's: Beatles, CCR, Stones, Skynyrd, Beach Boys, Little Richard, and Dio. I love Carpenter's scores, and I've heard his album "Lost Themes" but I just don't find myself listening to him without a movie playing.

The good on Johan's: Cranberries, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Sex Pistols, and I actually like a few Roxette songs too. "The Look" is catchy and fun pop music.

Close one, but I'm going with zed.

This one is fairly easy for me. Zed has a whole bunch of artists and bands (and composers) I like: Sonic Youth, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Marillion, Wagner, Hendrix, Genesis, Mahler, Jethro Tull all stand out. Fair play for picking himself. I would like to have picked a singer I write songs for, but hey..

On Der's list, I like (Soundgarden >) Audioslave, Dio, some Rolling Stones stuff and most of The Beatles latter day work. Not so keen on them now but I did like Foo Fighters at one point - their 'Colour and the Shape' album is still pretty great though.

On Johan's list.. I like Sex Pistols but like Znep says, I also find them a bit overrated and they stick out on this list like a sore thumb. I like Madonna's Ray of Light album, a few Michael Jackson songs but other than that.. Cranberries are ok but Whigfield is truly horrible and honestly, I'd be pretty embarassed picking an "artist" like that.

Zed wins this one for me.

The Who is alright, and Led Zeppelin makes the list a contender by itself. I don't really know much about the rest of these bands, but it's also pretty ballsy to vote for oneself. zed's the man.

DirtyBall's list sells me with Creedence, Stones, Skynyrd, Sublime, Beach Boys, Little Richard, Dio, and Audioslave. Hoo eee!

Then, Johan has some stuff I mostly don't know. I never liked Linkin Park, but I like some Cyndi Lauper and Steppenwolf had a few decent songs. If it wasn't for Michael Jackson, we wouldn't have Thriller.

@DerTables ftw

From zed's list, Sonic Youth, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, and Danzig are good. I almost went with Danzig a couple times myself before he did. I've never been able to get into classical music.

Der's got Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Little Richard, Dio, and John Carpenter, all good. I think The Beatles are just okay and I wouldn't have picked them, but I used to like System of a Down a lot.

My favorite pick from Johan is easily Michael Jackson. Cyndi Lauper and Madonna have a few songs I like, plus Steppenwolf. Not a fan of a lot of his other pop and dance picks.

This pretty much comes down to zed and Der for me. By just a little, I think I prefer Der's list.
