Okay, I know the 1990's are not particularly looked upon with great fondness by most horror fans, but personally, while not the best, I feel it was an underated decade.

@jimb14red posted an informative thread about his views on the decade a while back.

"90's Horror: An underrated decade" - https://trashepics.com/post/102/4/

My Top 10 would look like this: (a word to the wise - a lot of obscure stuff here and may not be to everyones taste)

1. The Addiction (1995)
2. I Zombie: The Chronicles of Pain (1998)
3. Intensity (1997 TV Movie)
4. Buried Alive (1990 TV Movie)
5. Dead Leaves (1998)
6. The Haunted (1991 TV Movie)
7. Aswang (1994)
8. Blood & Donuts (1995)
9. The Possession of Michael D. (1995 TV Movie)
10. Dead Alive (1992)

What makes your list?

With Intensity and Buried Alive they were both terrific suspenseful films. With The Possession of Michael D and The Haunted they were both supposedly based on true events, plus I found that that made them the more creepier for me. I think the 90s for me was the last decade of really good TV movies. The 70s was the best.

I only seen The People Under the Stairs recently. A really entertaining flick, one of those films to watch after a hard day. I love The Night Flier, an underated Stephen King film. Cemetery Man (1994) was just outside my top 10. One that really defined 90s horror.

We seem to be the only fans of The Addiction here at T.E, that is a shame. IIRC do you live in around that area where it was set/filmed? Not to everyone's taste but certainly haunting in theme and visuals.

That is twice Terror Firmer was listed. I will have to check it out. I am glad you mentioned Thinner (1996). I always thought it was a pretty cool film, nice way to lose some weight!
