I went to their show on August 19th 2017 in Dallas. When I got there, they surprised us with an opening by The Edgar Winter Band, and while I'm not familiar with most of their stuff, they were kick-ass. Their touring guitarist and bassist were great, and I got to hear them play Tobacco Road, Rock and Roll Hootchie Koo (Rick Derringer cover), and Frankenstein.

After the intermission, Alice Cooper came out, opening with Brutal Planet, onto No More Mr. Nice Guy, Under My Wheels, Lost in America, some track from his new album, Woman of Mass Distraction, Poison, Halo of Flies, Feed My Frankenstein, Cold Ethyl, Only Women Bleed, I Love the Dead, I'm Eighteen, and he closed with School's Out, throwing a bit of Another Brick in the Wall in there.

His set was entertaining the whole time. Of course, he did some crazy theatrics too. He changed outfits for every song, he went into the guillotine and got his head chopped off and they spewed his severed head blood everywhere, and they had a big Frankenstein guy walking around too. If Alice isn't waving his cane around, he's pulling the sword out of that sheath and chopping shit. It was awesome.

After the next intermission, Deep Purple came out, starting with Highway Star, Strange Kind of Woman, It's Good to be King, Lazy, The Surprising, Perfect Strangers, Space Truckin, Smoke on the Water, Knockin at your Back Door, some song I didn't know, then they closed with Hush.

I'd also like to point out that it was (Deep Purple singer) Ian Gillan's 72 birthday. He wasn't as active as Alice, and seemed to be a bit tired at the start. I couldn't make out what he was saying for the first few songs since the instruments were overpowering it, but he found his groove in the second half and rocked on.

However, the keyboardist of Deep Purple was fucking amazing. He stole the show. He was playing so fast, he looked like he was on fast-forward. I couldn't believe that shit.

It was mostly an older crowd, and everyone was more casual about it, but some guy sitting next to us (me and @der) was drunk as fuck and dancing like a madman. It's always funny when the crowd is calm, then you have a few people going nuts.

It was cool as hell seeing two of my all-time favorite bands. I was sitting near the back, and I couldn't get good pictures. I may post some later, if I have any that are clear enough (doubtful).
